Our History

Out of Pocket, Inc. was founded in 2008 with its inaugural production of “Love Letters” in 2008, staged at McQuaid Jesuit High School.  Over the years, Out of Pocket has staged shows at Geva Theatre Center, the Hungerford Building, Greenovations, and, for the last twelve seasons at the Multi-Use Community Cultural Center.

Our Mission

Out of Pocket, Inc. is a 501c3 not-for-profit theatre that was started in 2008 with the goal of producing and presenting quality shows in Rochester and giving actors and theatre-goers a way to give back to their community. Our mission is to use theatre to raise awareness and funds for local and national non-profit organizations. Out of Pocket, Inc. produces and presents high quality shows at a minimal cost to maximize the funds raised for these non-profit organizations.
